The SheIsMe Story

Our story begins with founder Lisa Jimenez, who shares,
“Like so many women, my story is one of overcoming. I grew up in a family shaped by addiction and co-dependency, only to find myself repeating those same dynamics in adulthood. Leaving an abusive relationship while holding my children’s hands was the hardest thing I’ve ever done—but it was also the moment that defined my future. That day, I wasn’t just escaping; I was stepping into self-discovery, healing, and empowerment.”

The violence Lisa endured wasn’t only emotional—it was life-threatening. The trauma left deep scars, but she survived. As a mother, she made a vow to break the cycle and prove that no matter what we’ve endured, we have the power to rebuild and reclaim our lives.

For countless women leaving abuse or toxic environments, options are painfully limited—living with family, friends, or in shelters that meet immediate needs but not long-term healing.

These women deserve more than survival; they deserve transformation.

Lisa recalls,

“I was looking for a place to share my story so that any woman who heard it would know she wasn’t alone. Yet no one wanted to talk about the hard things. It was all ‘Boss Babe’ and ‘Women in Tech,’ and everyone was talking about glass ceilings, staircases, leaning in, and MLMs. None of that appealed to me—I’d been there and done that. I wanted to talk about what it really means to be a woman. About pain, healing, rage, love, and power. I wanted a space where we could tell the truth and not be judged or shamed. It just didn’t exist. So I built it.”

From that truth, SheIsMe Global was born—a movement and sanctuary where women rise together, reclaim their voices, and lead from wholeness.

In 2021, Lisa called upon her network of mentors, coaches, healers, doctors, and even a Hollywood film director. Together, they launched the first SheIsMe Conference. The response was overwhelming. Since then, SheIsMe has welcomed over 700 speakers from 63 countries, reaching and transforming thousands of women around the world.

What began as one woman’s story has become a global ecosystem of change—an interconnected network of programs and communities redefining what’s possible for women in every arena of life.

SheIsMe isn’t just a community—it’s a rising tide.

We continue to build what doesn’t yet exist: a new model of healthcare that honors women’s bodies and wisdom, wealth-building systems rooted in equity and collaboration, entrepreneurial pathways that empower women to thrive, and digital solutions designed by and for women.

The old systems—patriarchal, extractive, and competitive—are dissolving. In their place, SheIsMe is creating a new paradigm where healing is power, leadership is love in action, and women lead the way forward together.
